Home -> PI -> RetroPie.

Grazie mille, Orazio.

Hi, i don't understood if you write in italian or you tranlsalte it from english with google translator.  (arancia lite???)
I never tried but if what you did works fine just the audio missing...
Rename retropiemenu folder...
then create a new retropiemenu folder with inside a RetrOrangePi folder and copy Background_Music from original retropiemenu/RetrOrangePi
Thanks a lot Lamerjack for the reply ...
I apologize, I didn't realize I hadn't translated the text.
However I had written the following:

"Hi guys, I wanted to ask you if with this new version you can hide the RETROPIE menu.
I have this need with my "ORANGE PI lite", because even my little daughter uses it to play with it, and sometimes does damage by entering that menu.
To overcome this problem, I have hidden the "RETROPIE" menu in the Emulationstation home, renaming the "RETROPIEMENU" folder which is located in:

Home -> PI -> RetroPie.

Ok, everything works, the "RETROPIE" menu in Emulationstation has disappeared, but with it also the background music and the screensaver no longer work.

I also talked about it some time ago in this discussion in section 4.2 (http://orangepi.club/showthread.php?tid=3189), which I still use.
Thanks a lot,
Orazio."

I had already pointed out this problem that I had noticed some time ago in the section of version 4.2, at the link above and Alexkid had said that with the next version perhaps this would have been remedied.
I had worked around the problem, doing just as you suggested, but in doing so, when the screensave starts, the music doesn't start, just because the music folder is located in "retropiemenù".
I also tried to move it, but the music does not start the same.
I had hoped for it and tried to ask again.
Thanks again infinite times, Orazio.

Ok tested the solution that i suggested but doesnt work.
so try this:
copy retopiemenu to retropiemenu1 (not move just copy)
then remove files .rp and .sh and some folder to have the directory tree like the one here:
pi@Pedrestation:~$ ls
RetrOrangePi  RetroPie  RetroPie-Setup  Videos
pi@Pedrestation:~$ cd RetroPie
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie$ ls
BIOS  music  retropiemenu  retropiemenu01  roms  splashscreens
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie$ cd retropiemenu
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu$ ls
RetrOrangePi  icons
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu$ cd RetrOrangePi/
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu/RetrOrangePi$ ls
 Background_Music       MANUAL.md                  autostart_retroarch.SH
 BashTool_ROPI_RCA     'Overlay border scanline'   emulationstation.png
 Boot_to_AdvMENU.SH     README.md                  gamelist.xml
 Boot_to_Armbian.SH     SOURCES.md                 images
 Boot_to_ES.SH         'Shader curvature'          kodi.png
 Boot_to_Kodi.SH        THANKS.md                  makeswap
 Boot_to_Retroarch.SH   armbian.png                mame.png
 CHANGELOG.md           autostart_desktop.SH       retroarch.png
 Kodi_launcher.SH       autostart_emustation.SH    splash.png
 LICENSE.md             autostart_kodi.SH          splash4.png
 LICENSES.md            autostart_mame.SH
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu/RetrOrangePi$ cd Background_Music
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu/RetrOrangePi/Background_Music$ ls
bgmusic.py
pi@Pedrestation:~/RetroPie/retropiemenu/RetrOrangePi/Background_Music$

Just tested music and screensaver (i use dim) works.
And no folder on the menu.
regards.
Enrico.
I created a simple script to hide the menu (and restore)
so will be easy to add the feature to Retrorange pi.

mmv command is needed (to install: sudo apt-get install mmv)

here the scripts:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8m179pg596abs7h/menu.tgz?dl=0

to extract to script run
tar -zxvf menu.tgz

and then you can run the script with:
./hidemenu.sh
or
./showmenu.sh
