Posted by: LowFat - 10-02-2018, 07:43 AM - Forum: Retrostone - No Replies

Hey there!

Does anybody have this problem too an know a fix?

When using a second gamepad (simple retro sneslike usb gamepad) for multiplayer,

it is working fine in the menu of the emustation etc.
but ingame the controlls are somehow remapped and some buttons don't react.
even configuring the inputs again was not succsessful.

thanks everyone!

  Selling limited edition blue retrostone

It's basically brand new, just put the OS on the micro SD. Still has the film over the screen, and the box is provided. Haven't really had much time to use it. Would like to ship to someone primarily in the US. Asking 160 shipped.

  Possible to add new port?
Posted by: doogin - 09-30-2018, 05:49 AM - Forum: Retrostone - Replies (4)

Hello,

I was wondering if it was possible to add a port of the game C-Dogs SDL to Emulationstation? I saw that Retropie 4.3 has it but I'm not sure if it's possible to add it to orangepi's fork. Sorry, I'm a complete and utter newbie to Linux. Here's it's webpage: https://cxong.github.io/cdogs-sdl/

  installing sunxi-tools?
Posted by: TROFF - 09-29-2018, 11:53 PM - Forum: Retrostone - Replies (2)

@Alexkidd,

Hi I am trying to replace the Retrostone display with a 3.5in IPS HDMI LCD. Currently I have it connected externally via the HDMI port. It works and looks great but I would like to set the resolution, refresh rate, overscan, etc. of the HDMI output. I have read that there are some issues currently will Allwinner chips and the ability to set these variables.

I tried using h3disp but ran in to an error:
'Now trying to patch script.bin with your settings. Aborted
Could not convert script.bin to fex. Exiting'

Some say to use the sunxi-tools:
https://github.com/linux-sunxi/sunxi-tools

Do you think this will work?  Do you think it is safe to try on a RetroStone?

Thanks, I know this is a bit of a hardware and software question. If I can get the display working fully externally I will then try sticking it in the Retrostone, there MAY be enough room.

Question How to exit a game
Posted by: ninsky - 09-29-2018, 12:00 PM - Forum: Retrostone - Replies (3)

Hi

First of all, a big "thanks" to alexkidd and the team behind for the great work! You guys really rock... without you, Retrostone would be just half as much fun! Thanks  Heart

My question: when I'm playing a game. How can I exit a game to go back to the game listing?

Currently I'm using Retrostone's physical rescue button to reboot the system. But this takes some time and I'm wondering if there's a better way to exit a running game.

Thanks in advance
ninsky

[SOLVED] Retroachievments not working with WiFi but Eth
Posted by: TH9 - 09-27-2018, 10:23 PM - Forum: Retrostone - Replies (2)

Seems that inside of RetroArch the WiFi is not working correctly.

RetroAchievments are working only if I connect the network cable.

In general the wifi is working, I used the scrapper in EmulationStation with WiFi without issues.

Inside of RetroArch (Information->Network) I see lo, eth0 and wlan3. wlan3 shows the correct IP address, eth0 shows the IP address from last cable connection, also after reboot without cable.

It looks also that there is a timeout connecting to the RetroAchievments server. After starting of a rom it took some time until the notification “controller connected” appeared. With connected cable it appeared instantly.

Rebooted and testet also WiFi in EmulationStation several times, always the same. I tried the Image from 5. September and also the new “supreme image”. Any ideas?

Sad [solved] ES Scraper function does not work
Posted by: laguna - 09-27-2018, 10:03 AM - Forum: RetrOrangePi v4.2 version - Replies (3)

Hello,

I recently updated ES from the source, which, among other things, caused the options of the start menu to change a bit, for example.

Regardless of those problems that I have already corrected, it seems that I have another problem that I am not able to solve on my own. It turns out that the scraper built in ES does not get data from the "degamesDB" source. When I select scraper, the process starts well, but when it comes to getting covers from the source, it indicates that it does not find anything, for any game.

Note that I usually use the Steven Selph's scraper, but after that I always use the ES scraper to solve the few games Steven Selph's leaves without a cover.

Please, any solution contribution is welcome, thank you very much !!!!! Shy
