  Exit rom button with GPIO
Posted by: robson - 01-24-2018, 12:42 PM - Forum: HARDWARE DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Hello, I would like to implement a button to exit the rom (Select + Start). I'm using a arduino Pro Micro for the controls and it worked very well. I'm making a SNES FAT with orange pi and would like to use the console reset button for exit of rom. I thought about doing it with the GPIO. It is possible? How to proceed? Thanks.

Can we record our game sessions?
Posted by: YiorgosH - 01-23-2018, 11:29 PM - Forum: GENERAL TALK - Replies (1)

It would be nice to be able to record our gameplay, speedruns, create our own thumbnail videos etc. Is it possible?

  OPi h5?

Is there a version I can test on the Opi0+ h5? Download seems to be limited to the h3. I'm willing to compile, though I don't have a great amount of experience with making binaries for distro.

  Loading page freezing
Posted by: alexandrepdo - 01-23-2018, 05:35 PM - Forum: SUPPORT - Replies (4)

Hi, guys! I'm new on Orange Pi, but i've been using Rasp for a long time. Anyway, I've installed RetrorangePi, followed the instructions through the internet and it worked almost just fine. Couldn't play Neo Geo and MAME games, so i Googled it. Tried everything I could (change emulator, downloaded BIOS, put the roms in other places, etc), but it still didn't work.

I was also trying to delete KODI from the main menu and then I've found someone saying to just go to RetroPie-Setup and delete it over there. Well, I saw that I could update the emulators and, why not, I did it. It took some hours and, for my horror, I can't use it anymore. Everytime I turn on the Orange, it keeps on "Loading..." page and doesn't go through it. I see that, before the loading page appears, I can press "SPACE" button so I can do something, something that I don't know what hahaha

I know that I've said three or four problems above, but, right now, I need to repair this "Loading" situation. Pressing the SPACE button, can I access something to fix it?

Thanks! Smile

  Orange pi win.
Posted by: Lamerjack - 01-23-2018, 02:55 PM - Forum: HARDWARE DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Probably orange pi pc2 will never supported...
But orange pi win (cpu A53 and gpu Mali400) was added to armbian stable with gles drivers...
I tested glxgears and has only 99fps (orangepi pc has 120).
But glmark2 has a score of 20 (opipc 19)
I want to test ppsspp.
Any other suggestion on program to test?

  delay for load overlays
Posted by: webfly - 01-22-2018, 12:55 AM - Forum: SUPPORT - Replies (4)

my retrorange pi (last version) takes about 40 to 50 seconds to load the overlays. And in the meantime my control does not work until the overlay is loaded.

Has anyone ever experienced this ?

  N64 performance-wise settings
Posted by: YiorgosH - 01-21-2018, 10:42 PM - Forum: SUPPORT - Replies (13)

Almost all the N64 games I tested play with choppy sound on lr_mupen64plus core (oPi lite). I tried to play around with the core options, but it only made things worst.

The standalone mupen64 emulator performs much better, but the game is displayed in a small window on the bottom left part of the screen, plus I'd rather use the retroarch core because of the hotkeys and overlays. Can anyone suggest a configuration that performs better? I'm already googling and testing, I'll also post any findings I have...
