  Orange Pi PC Android 7.12 Nougart
Posted by: deadlock - 02-21-2019, 05:05 PM - Forum: Android - No Replies

Last year a company called Sunveil released an Allwinner H3 based TV box with an Android 7.12 OS.
It turns out the firmware for this TV box will actually work fairly well on an Orange Pi PC with an H3 CPU. (it may work on other Orange Pi models as well but I only tested it on an Orange Pi PC as that is all I have)

It has Google Playstore and is in English so it better than the Android 7 beta that is available from orangepi.org downloads page. Ethernet works but It wouldn't recognise any WiFi dongles I tried with it so if you need it to work wireless you might have to try several different WiFI adapters and see which if any work.
I have been testing it for about a week and it seems pretty stable and hasn't crashed.

Like most Android builds it requires Phoenix card software to flash it onto an SD card.

You can download it from here https://www.computersdealstore.com/downl...winner-h3/

  How to configure an exit button for PPSSPP to EmulationStation
Posted by: djalmafreestyler - 02-17-2019, 11:43 PM - Forum: RetrOrangePi v4.2 version - No Replies

I couldn't find any way to exit ppssspp instead of pressing ESC on my keyboard, but it's boring to connect your keyboard everytime you need to exit the emulator.

After sometime I found a thread that the user explain how to configure the pause button as exit to emulationstation, so I think it might help others and they can find it more easy in the forum.

I am using the 4.2 Slim version with an Orange Pi Plus 2E.

For anyone else who may be searching this, I have found how to exit from PPSSPP straight back to retropie using a quit button. Make sure you have all your settings correct within PPSSPP. Once you are happy with your settings then configure the "pause menu" in Controls to the button that you want to use to exit the emulator. If the mouse pointer is also an issue to you then you will find that by ticking the "Fullscreen" option that this disappears.

Ok so now find your configs folder, go into "psp" folder and find emulators.cfg. Edit this using your chosen method and find the line

ppsspp = "/opt/retropie/emulators/ppsspp/PPSSPPSDL %ROM%"

Change it to:

ppsspp = "/opt/retropie/emulators/ppsspp/PPSSPPSDL %ROM% --escape-exit"

Save it and now your "pause" button will exit the PSP game straight back to your frontend.

Obviously you can no longer get into your settings unless you reverse this procedure and remove the "--escape-exit" parameter.

  ROPI AliXpress Box?
Posted by: djcasl - 02-17-2019, 08:39 AM - Forum: GENERAL TALK - Replies (3)

Hello Everybody,

I am a fan of wicked gamer and collector channel, and saw this video
It is about this TV Game Box on AliExpress GameBox_Link
When you scroll down you see a ROPI 4.0 menu, but I cannot make out the mainboard.
Is this just someone ripping of screenshots? Because there is an disclaimer that hardware is never sold with your installation.
But if the chinese market is using your images, I guess they think it's pretty solid word tje ROPI team is doing.

Just wondering about thoughts on this forum and maybe someone recognizes the mainboard

Question Retrostone and SteamLink
Posted by: Saidrog - 02-11-2019, 11:43 PM - Forum: Retrostone - No Replies

I was thinking of buying a Retrostone, but I was curious if there was the possibility of installing steam links on the device

I saw a video of this guy installing it on a retropie and was wondering if this feature could work on the retrostone
Link to the video guide:

Has anyone tried it? Does it work?
