  MAME galaga issue
Posted by: emullinsabq - 11-26-2016, 01:22 PM - Forum: Solved threads (also check FAQ and HOWTOs) - Replies (4)

starting the game works, but presents with an inaccurate video warning which i have to wiggle the joystick left then right.

after passing that, the P1 right doesn't work in game.

invoking TAB, and adjusting controls, it ends up being the SAME as before, but now P1 right works.

same problem all over again next time.  I think it is because of the warning and having to wiggle the joystick, but I don't get why that is causing it.  Any way to disable this warning?  The video seems fine to me.

Hi, can someone create an image for OPi PC 2 Android (latest) that can be flashed through a normal program like Win32DiskImager? (I can't get PhoenixCard to work - tried everything).

  Getting PS3 controller working wirelessly?
Posted by: nnm - 11-26-2016, 05:30 AM - Forum: Hardware compatibility - Replies (22)

Hey, I've been using RetrOrangePi on my Pi PC for the last while using a USB connection and while it worked perfectly I was hoping to go wirelessly via bluetooth so I can use it from a distance. I bought this Bluetooth 2.0 adapter and received it today. I've had no luck in getting the Pi to recognise the controller yet. I know to install the drivers from the menu and the controller is listed when I go to pair it but when I try to it causes a kernel panic and I have to reboot the system. Is there a dummies guide to get this working?

If the adapter is the reason for the problem I'd appreciate links to any controllers that will work wirelessly, I'll need a second one for 2 player anyway. I don;t mind waiting for aliexpress etc.

  HOWTO - Using DPad as analog control (N64 emulation)
Posted by: alexkidd - 11-24-2016, 11:12 PM - Forum: HOWTOs - Replies (17)

Go to Desktop, open a terminal window and run command below, changing filename accordingly (you can use File Manager as well) :

pluma /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/YOURGAMEPAD.cfg

Include the following lines at the end, replacing the values by the ones you have for input DOWN, UP, RIGHT, LEFT (in this order), if necessary:

input_l_x_plus_axis = "+1"
input_l_x_minus_axis = "-1"
input_l_y_plus_axis = "+0"
input_l_y_minus_axis = "-0"

  HOWTO - Dreamcast reconfigure controls - Reicast
Posted by: alexkidd - 11-23-2016, 09:06 PM - Forum: HOWTOs - Replies (7)

Hello guys,

Controls in Reicast (Dreamcast emulator) should work fine once you map your controller in EmulationStation. Although it seems it does not work that well for quite some people.

So, check this:

1. Go to Desktop mode from main menu

2. Open a terminal window and run:

sudo pluma /opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/emu.cfg

or use File Manager to open it.

3. Open another terminal window and run the following commands:

sudo apt-get install python-pip python-dev
sudo pip install evdev
sudo chmod +x /opt/retropie/emulators/reicast/bin/reicast-joyconfig
you should be able to choose the controller and map all buttons. Settings will be generated , just copy/paste them in the emu.cfg file you opened before. Save and close it.

4. Now disable EmulationStation autoconfig
pluma /opt/retropie/configs/all/autoconf.cfg

reicast_input = "0"

  Xin mo dual arcade joystick
Posted by: sissyM - 11-23-2016, 12:32 PM - Forum: Hardware compatibility - Replies (17)

I have opi pc plus with retrorangepi 2.5 image to sd. I want to to play games with my arcade dual player joystick but I have a problem. It detects one gamepad instead of two and not working up and left moves.
I found this solution but I can't figure out how to solve this in retrorangepi. https://github.com/Retro…/RetroPie-Setup...Controller I can't find cmdline.txt
I am newbie and I don't know how to do it. I also found the .patch for the driver (it describes my problem) here: http://ithink.ch/blog/2013/09/08/patchin...ry_pi.html
but how I will install it? Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.

  PSP and NES games problem + N64 controller setup problem
Posted by: Pjetrek - 11-23-2016, 08:46 AM - Forum: Solved threads (also check FAQ and HOWTOs) - Replies (6)

Hi there! I'm using Orange Pi Pc with Retrorange Pi 2.5.2 on board. I have a few problems, maybe somebody here can help me with this:
1. PSP and NES games dosen't work. I have black screen and then back to the list of the games. Somewhere i read that reflashing system can work for it, but i don't have img file for it and (as you know) it isn't avaliable to download now.
2. I have controllers without analog sticks, is there any way to set d-pad as analog? I want to play N64 games and most of them needs analog stick.
Thanks for all answers!
