  Frotz for Z Machine (Infocom)
Posted by: HappyMacXL - 04-24-2017, 02:25 PM - Forum: Support area - Replies (1)

Hi all,

Does anyone have Eric Renfro's guide to setting up Frotz so that ROPi can run Z Machine games please? Or are there other guides?

I'm sure it was previously in one of the package lists (maybe Experimental) but its definitely not there now.

  PPSSPP best options
Posted by: Lamerjack - 04-21-2017, 10:32 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

i made some test with options to improve performances

first of all from ssh i run cpufreq-set -g performance (will be great to integrate with launcher and at the end restore the original)
and in PPSSPP system option i turn on multithread
these two give a good speedup.

i leave Rendering Mode to Non Buffered Rendering if i don't see nothing i switch to Buffered Rendering
autoframeskip off (on my system lower the resolution)
i set manually frameskip to 0 1 or 3 (seems that odd numbers works better)
bezier curves to medium quality
Lazy Texture Caching to on
Retain Changed Textures off

The build that is included where it came from?
I saw that the 1.4 is out...
But the source is for i386 or AMD64.

aspect ratio weird on 5:4 monitor ROPI 3.0.1/orangepi plus 2
Posted by: dinkster - 04-20-2017, 06:14 AM - Forum: Support area - Replies (1)

how can i get the games to fill the screen, they only seam to be wide screen even though the original games are not, this happens on all games.
on retropie i could set the aspect ratio in the retroarch settings, this option is not available in retroarch in retroorangepi.

also all teh videos i see show the retropie style retroarch menus, grey and green, for some reason i see android style menus with less options, is this correct? im running a orangepi plus 2

  kodi but no ES
Posted by: royalwulf - 04-18-2017, 05:12 AM - Forum: Support area - Replies (3)

This may seem a funny place to post this so please point me to a better place.
I have an Opi PC
What I am looking for is Debian OS with a desktop and a working Kodi.
I can get Debian from the Armbian site.  I can then add a desktop.  But where do i get a working Kodi?
I have tried RetrOrangePi.  This does mostly what I want.
Can I run Kodi from the desktop?  I tried and it didn work.
Can I get rid of ES?

  gpio pins
Posted by: orangepi guy - 04-14-2017, 12:07 PM - Forum: Hardware compatibility - No Replies

hello guys.

I would like to ask as to how to download and install this "https://github.com/ericktarzia/GPIO_controller-for-retrorangepi" this will apparently make the gpio pins work like this
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/recalb...Osb%2B.png and all I would have to do is attach the cables. although I have no idea as to how to install so if someone could give me a hand its appreciated as it says how to install like this:

"Just extract, change directory
$ chmod +x install.sh $ ./install.sh
this image are to plug GPIO pins

but I have no idea where i'm suppossed to put the files nor enter the code as i'm extremely nooby. and if it helps at all as to what im using im using the latest version of retrorangepi image.

thanks guys
