Hello,

(First post so hi and stuff)

I seen this and have not tried it yet.  I might go to the store and get a SD card to flash as to not delete the configs off my current running system.  From the twisting road the github sent me on it looks like you are on 3.X kernel right?  If so any plans for going to a 4.X kernel?  Im looking for a kernel with SMP running on opi one as I need SMP for a project I am working on.  I am willing to help with this any way that is needed and I have some built 4.9X debs from the armbian guys that I added a SMP patch to and tried but I cant seem to get it running and im having issues with my serial cable.

Thanks guys in advanced

AFAIK this actually has SMP, would be strange if it didnt. The 4.x kernel isnt there yet, the H3 patches in the mainline kernel havent landed yet, so its defunct for now. Actually, you can try these images, but wait till next week for some really production-grade images, these are just tests.

Also, welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay!

I may be confused as to how SMP presents itself in ARM but in x86_64 I have always seen its cores split out into cpu0, cpu1, ..., cpuN but in armbian and a couple others in the 3.X line I get cpu0 with core and not split out into there own processors. Im going to do some reading as I don't want to speak to anything until I have more information.

Other note if you need any help Im game to throw in what I can. Im not much of a coder but I am a linux engineer and can test the heck out of a system and provide things like repo hosting and what not.

I have my own repo at repo.novakovsky.eu, so thats not needed. You could contribute to the build script, coding features at github.com/m00nd3ck/md-debian if you want. We need to add support for maintaining an image, meaning updating package and building an .img file. There are also other features that i am coding right now, but somehow i lack motivation and willing to do this anymore.
