Pink screen on boot issue - any progress?
#11
I only ever got the pink screen if I try to boot opi before plugging in my hdmi port or before the tv was turned on. As long as you have it all connected and your tv or monitor on waiting for a signal you shouldn't have a pink screen.

Hi,
I agree this point. I tried your method to unplug the HDMI to boot it. Then, I plug the HDMI. I get the pink screen.

Why do I get pink screen? I just want to restart the system via ssh tunnel with "sudo reboot -h". I can't go into system anymore.

I had gotten pink screen before. The final step is to format the SD card.

Are there any good solution? It seems no solutions.

However, I unplug ethernet cable and a usb cable to boot. It starts again.

I try ssh tunnel into the system and then I use "sudo reboot". It can restart.

Maybe the power makes the problem. Don't know the reason.

Here is even more complicated. If i have the orange PI connected to the tv and both are powered together i have pink screen.
Anyway with sudo reboot it reboot without problems.
2 Possibile quick fix. I bought a edid simulator i will receive it in a month and should fix it. Is cheap and quick.
The second is still cheap but a little bit complex. I bought a esp8266 is a board like arduino (4$) There is a firmware to simulate a Philips Hue Hub...
So i turn on the tv and then i say. Alexa Turn on orangepi! Wink
