The source of the overscan problem is a badly coded av-out linux kernel driver shipped with the legacy kernel. I created an workaround program (allwinner_tvout_manipulator) based on the informations i have collected here. So you first have to adjust the screen size in the .fex file and after rebooting you need to reposition the picture using the tvout program. I need to mention, that the offset values may differ from screen to screen.
