Any method to hide boot text?
#1
I found out that RPi user can actully hide the boot text for RetroPie by modifying a number, from "tty1" to "tty3" in the cmdline.txt in the boot drive.

For OPi, it seems there is no such a cmdline.txt in the boot drive. I only find a file "boot.cmd". Inside this, there is really something similar.
Can I actually modify it, changing the "tty1" to "tty3", just like what they did in RPi?

Or any other method to hide boot text?

Thanks.

What portion of boot would you like to hide exactly? I never tried but it's possible I believe

Basically the very beginning of the boot, which is before the RetrOrangePi big mushroom splashscreen.

hit spacebar at startup (when text appears), enter "setenv stdout nulldev" then save the new variables by entering "saveenv" and "reset" to reboot.

i still havent tried myself, you can test and let us know

I was just free to try that yesterday but failed.
It allowed me to type in something but after the first line “setenv stdout nulldev” and press enter, it freezes. It was maybe loading but seemed not responding for very long time and I am forced to hard reset it.

So, I have no idea the later part, “saveenv” and “reset”.

Any ideas? thanks.
