Build from source
#1
I have a Zero +2 H3 board and RetrOrangePie 4.2 works as expected. Now I would like to make a fresh RetroPie install over stock Armbian Stretch OS, so I can also install other things in this OPi that depends on Stretch. I understand I need to build RetroPie from source. Can anybody point me out what else is required to have a functional RetroPie install? (e.g.: You will need to build drivers for Mali, etc).

Besides the Mali kernel modules and userspace libraries, you would need SDL2 for EmulationStation, Retroarch and some emulators.
Other content has its own dependencies, taken care by retropie scriptmodules

Thanks for the info. Now I'm struggling to understand how to install mali. Do you have any information that could help in this?Huh

Ps: When compiling things I had to put an external ventilator over the OPi, otherwise it halts due to high temp..  Rolleyes
